5 lever mortice locks

Mortice locks must have a minimum of 5 levers and at least 1000 key combinations, a saw resistant bolt with a minimum 14mm throw and able to withstand 300lbs side and 5000lbs end pressure. A Drill resistant lock case and one or more anti-pick devices.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) guidelines require all final exit doors to be fitted with 5-lever mortice locks (or equivelant) conforming to BS 3621 and marked with the BS Kitemark. Rack bolts or security bolts generally fitted to rear back doors.
